DIRECTIONS:

• This calculator is based on the 2023 Massachusetts Child Support Worksheet. For child support orders already in place prior to 2023 please use the correct Massachusetts Child Support Worksheet which can be found here: Child Support Guidelines | Mass.gov
• Please enter each parent's name in the applicable parent A and Parent B boxes. Please remember, all incomes and costs imputed into the calculator are on a weekly basis.
• Then enter each parent's gross weekly income. Thus, divide by (2) if you are paid biweekly, (4) or (4.3) if you paid monthly, or if you have an estimated annual income, please divide by (52). Keep in mind, if incomes are estimated the child support amount will fluctuate.
• Next enter any weekly health and dental costs, childcare costs, other child support paid (from prior relationship), or social security dependency benefits (rare) paid by each party in the appropriate collum. Divide all monthly costs by (4) or (4.3) to calculate the weekly costs.
• Then enter a proposed child support amount, the calculator will determine if the proposed child support amount deviates from the guidelines.
• Lastly, enter the number of children provided for in the calculation and the custody arrangement - Either shared custody (50-50), Split custody if there are two or more children each living with a specific parent, or Primary Custody with one parent (Approx. 2/3 of the parenting time).
• Then press calculate. Once Calculated you can press "Save as PDF" to save the results.
